Hi Sajclarke,

Thanks for the feedback, and I hope you continue to visit the site.

With regard to your observation, I might not have explained myself clearly. Cloud computing is perhaps a capability ideally suited for mobile devices, but it was initially conceptualised for PCs. As a result, the way in which CERTAIN apps have been developed, especially office and productivity apps, where (e.g.) computing power and screen size becomes critical for optimum use, full functionality might not be experienced on mobile devices.

Off the top of my head, some of the problems that have been experienced when mobile devices access and try to manipulate documents through office apps directly from a cloud include:
– all functions of the programme are not operational, e.g. in spreadsheet apps
– documents do not reflect the formatting or all of the text
– documents can be viewed but not edited
– difficulty with viewing all of the text, e.g. one cannot scroll through

Do recall that office and productivity apps are just a tiny fraction of all of the apps that are available, and many of them work absolutely fine on mobile devices. The point is there is still work to be done, especially as mobile use becomes ubiquitous, and it becomes the primary computing device for many people and businesses around the world.

Could you tell me which theme are you using? Or was it tailor made?

How can that be when Android and Iphone have been exploiting mobile apps and web apps that rely on online storage and client processing for nearly two years? I think the use of Google products on the millions of Android phones out there is a good example.
What problems have you observed?

Problem still remains as observed in Trend#3: Connectivity. Even in developed countries, many rural outposts still experience slow connections.
