And it’s only appropriate that an article like this one accompanies the news. My observation is that the telecom industry is no longer what it used to be two decades ago and earlier. Then we didn’t have mobile phones, no Skype etc. These days there are lots of alternatives to telecommunication. The private sector ( or at least partnership with ) is better suited to make the necessary investments to both meet competition and make the business of telecommunication sustainable.
