There are a range of issues that so far do not appear to have been considered or addressed. Ultimately, it might mean that although roll out of current tablet in schools programmes are going relatively smoothly, they could irrevocably stall at a later date when any one of the issues you and I have raised comes to the fore…

I think a number of us are only looking at the great idea of having tablets without consideration for the challenges. It is great that you highlighted these. There is also the matter of other skills that need to be developed. Do we want students to be constantly exposed to these electronic screens for such extended periods. What other applications will be included in on these tablets, will they be similar to a e reader or a full range tablet.
While it is economically feasible to have all books available in one place I think there are lot of other issues to be addressed before this roll out. Security issues, content exposure and the availability of internet services in the rural areas are some that readily come to mind.
