Until we see person’s personal business /secrets being revealed or leaked into the public domain by the US there is no noise. Surveillance for public interest issues can pass. How much the smaller sovereign nations can restrict the big ones depends on whether they can catch them? Because the substance of espionage is to do things without permission. The current state of the would has tacitly legitamised the need for espionage , from way back when. The US government and telecom manufacturers went to bed from the beginning of the industry, telecom equipment is made with accessibility for the US Government. There may be things embedded in your cell phone already just waiting to be activated. It’s all good,we are still part of the “allied forces”, can you see it any other way?
