The above statement is true – but the vast majority of those said laws that were implemented were based on the same old laws of the 1930’s. The Caribbean has not really gone any further with their telecomms laws than the rest of the world, in-fact, they depend on the rest of the world and follow – in most cases.

It would be a bold and wise move for Caribbean telecomms laws to be created that represent the needs and nuances of those markets and the times we are in. But alas…
