I think this is slowly fading and while Government support/initiatives can help, I do not think they are necessary anymore. With the work done by infoDev/World Bank coming to a close and the startups coming from Startup Jamaica as well as the students of BrightPath Foundation, I think that we will soon see a slew of mobile solutions that will change the way how Caribbean people use the internet – or at least divert some of the time spent on social networks.
