In the new age of fast-evolving consumer tastes, loyalty would be a prime factor for differentiation and product positioning. The mature population fit that bill.

Another is greater competition globally in tourism matters (and other sectors) on choice and price. I saw just yesterday Hilton advertising booking direct and promising guarantee of lowest prices that way. Talk about full circle.
Also to be watched are the ways in which governmental bodies are trying to leverage online intermediaries to become tax collectors from new sources e.g. BnB
