Kamutula,

This is gratifying to read! Innovation procurement is such an important issue, but one that is frequently overlooked, though there are far-reaching implications.

So I am truly glad Telly (the writer) highlighted it, in order to get all of us thinking about it, and being more vigilant.

But upon reading a bit more carefully, one could see that these are new terms embodying a whole new concept. Innovation procurement, for instance, is something a lot of us don’t ( didn’t ) know or understand; let alone even exploit. And yet, at least as presented here, it redefines new ways in which an organisation engages with not just suppliers and contractors, but ( in my view ) all stakeholders.

It probably just needed to be pre-digested a little bit, so that ‘grass-root’ readers like me can easily ‘chew’ the underlying concept. But great article! I recommend re-reading it, if one does not fully get it on first read.
