DESCRIPTION:UNESCO has commissioned a study on the status of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)\, Open Data (OS) and Open Standards (OS) in the Caribbean. Based on the findings of the study\, the organisation will consider interventions and support it can offer to individual countries\, and/or to the region as a whole\, to promote the adoption and use of FOSS\, OD and OS\,  in alignment with its Information for All Programme (IFAP). \nThe findings of the study\, which have been drawn from desk research\, an online survey\, and in-market meetings in select countries\, will be summarized in a report that should be reviewed by stakeholders. SUMMARY:UNESCO Consultative Meeting on FOSS\, OS and OD
DESCRIPTION:UNESCO has commissioned a study on the status of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)\, Open Data (OS) and Open Standards (OS) in the Caribbean. Based on the findings of the study\, the organisation will consider interventions and support it can offer to individual countries\, and/or to the region as a whole\, to promote the adoption and use of FOSS\, OD and OS\,  in alignment with its Information for All Programme (IFAP). \nThe findings of the study\, which have been drawn from desk research\, an online survey\, and in-market meetings in select countries\, will be summarized in a report that should be reviewed by stakeholders.
