DESCRIPTION:The Caribbean Internet Governance Forum (CIGF) is a regional\, multi-stakeholder annual ICT forum initiated by the CTU in 2005 to coordinate a harmonised approach to Internet Governance. This 9th CIGF is dedicated to explore the elements of the Internet economy by considering: \n\nThe necessity for proliferating Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) in the Caribbean;\nSecurity issues in the Internet economy;\nICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship and New business models\nDeveloping content creation industries.\n\nDelegates will have the opportunity to contribute to the finalisation of the 2013 Caribbean Internet Governance Policy Framework which will guide the Internet Governance work of the CTU in the coming months.
