Although off the shelf, generic digital products can help a business solve a problem, frequently, they can only help to a point. In this conversation with Joshua Kissoon, we discuss eBusiness, the suite of business solutions that his firm, Techlify, has created. We also discuss Joshua\u2019s entrepreneurial journey to date, how Techlify has evolved over the years, and what might be in store for the company in the coming years.<\/em><\/p>\n

These are just a few of the questions that tend to plague entrepreneurs, and to a considerable degree, successfully resolving those issues are almost as, or perhaps even more, important than the actual venture itself, as ultimately, they can make or break the business.<\/p>\nIt is light of this delicate dance that entrepreneurs have to do, we are always excited when we have an opportunity to pull back the veil and learn more about the inner workings of a Caribbean tech business. You might easily overlook him, but in less than 18 months he and his team at <a href=\"https:\/\/techlify.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Techlify Inc<\/a><\/strong>. have created the award winning product, <a href=\"https:\/\/ebusiness.gy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eBusiness<\/a><\/strong>. Earlier this year, the software platform and the company were recognised by <a href=\"https:\/\/bizxamerica.com\/bizx-2020-award-winners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BizX at its 2020 Awards<\/a> as the Best Business Software or App and the Best IT Organisation, respectively.<\/p>\nBased in Guyana and established in 2014, Techlify Inc. is software engineering company, which specialties include Android and iOS applications development, web and software development, and Laravel, Angular and PHP frameworks. The operation is staffed by a growing team based in Guyana and India, who Joshua acknowledges, have been integral to the company\u2019s success.<\/p>\nJoshua, himself, has had an interesting entrepreneurship journey, which started in Guyana, but took him to India and back. \u00a0However, as an entrepreneur, and especially a young entrepreneur, there were a few bumps along the way, along with a whole host of fears and insecurities that had to be conquered, which Joshua discusses candidly.
