An announcement of a few new and upcoming additions on ICT Pulse.

For those who are regular readers of ICT Pulse, you might have observed some subtle (and perhaps not so subtle) changes have been occurring on the site since we launched early last year. In the coming weeks we will be rolling out some new initiatives, which we hope will add value and enrich your experience on ICT Pulse.

Events/activities calendar

"http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/images/agree-terms.php?id=10067427"First, as our weekly news roundup has demonstrated, there are a number of ICT/tech activities occurring regularly across the region, but often, we only become aware of them after they have passed. Moreover, if you wanted to get an idea of what events and/or activities might be imminent, you would most likely have to conduct an extensive search and visit several websites, which is not only tedious, but also time-consuming. We are hoping to change that.

We have just added a Calendar to ICT Pulse, to highlight the ICT/tech events and activities that are occurring across the Caribbean. We will also be featuring important international events or activities, of which we in the region should be aware, and if possible, participate. We will be building out additional features and capabilities in the coming weeks and months, so please stay tuned…

We are also inviting ICT/tech event or activity organisers, along with persons ‘in the know’ to contact us with details on activities and events that are occurring within the region, as well as international activities from which the Caribbean could benefit. They will be added to the Calendar. Please send us the details at Contact Us.

NOTE: We do not want the calendar to be limited to only highlighting the ‘big’ national or regional ICT/tech events or activities. We would like the Calendar to be very inclusive, and be a channel for all ICT/tech-related events or activates in countries and communities across the Caribbean to be promoted, and hopefully garner additional attention and support.

ICT Pulse newsletter

Second, although new posts are currently being published on ICT Pulse three times per week, it can be difficult, especially with our busy schedules, to remember to check the website regularly for our latest updates. To address this, we will be launching a weekly newsletter in the coming days, through which there will be the convenience of having the best of ICT Pulse being delivered to your Inbox, which you can then peruse at your leisure.

In general terms, the newsletter will comprise:
