As much as we enjoy the efficiencies arising from using generative AI, we continually have to be aware of the flaws inherent in the technology, the most glaring of which is bias that can result in a broad range of harms. We discuss the impact of the bias on society and outline steps Caribbean countries can take to begin to regulate AI.
