The HIPCAR Stakeholder Consultation Workshop to review the Legislative Frameworks on Privacy and Data Protection is held in Barbados (8-10 July 2013), kindly hosted by the Government of Barbados, under the guidance of the Division of Energy and Telecommunications in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Trade Industry and Commerce and co-organized with the HIPCAR Project.
The objectives of the Workshop are to discuss proposals for amendment of Privacy and Data Protection legislation and review the implications, key issues and options to be considered in developing the aforementioned framework and facilitating harmonization in accordance with the HIPCAR Model Policy Guidelines and Legislative Text.
Who Can Participate
The workshop is addressed to relevant Governmental Ministries and Agencies, Regulators, Private Sector Companies, and other stakeholders from relevant associations, academia, regional organizations, etc. concerned with the Information Society Legislative Framework in Barbados, a HIPCAR beneficiary country.
