Smart Seas Toolkit Assessment Workshop

The Smart Seas Toolkit is aimed at increasing the resilience of Caribbean small-scale fishers through information and communications technologies, with emphasis on the maritime communications enabling environment.

During this workshop, the Smart Seas team will present and solicit feedback on the Project’s online toolkit, which comprises resources aimed at increasing the resilience of Caribbean small-scale fishers through information and communications technologies, with emphasis on the maritime communications enabling environment.

These resources include, but are not limited to:

• A UN compliance checklist
• Maritime band radio licensing form template
• Guidelines to specify Sea Area A1
• Nominal VHF-DSC radio curricula for small-scale fishers and coast station operators
